Configure NDD Print Client/Client Collector
To configure NDD Print Client and/or Client Collector via the Embedded Configuration Tool (ECT) click here.
Some settings can only be accessed through the Embedded Configuration Tool (ECT).
Configuration via printer panel (only NDD Print Client)
After installing the application and restarting the printer, access the application settings by pressing the Gear. Enter the password (default: 1111) and fill in the fields as required in for the environment.
Tab General
Printer Information: Enter the printer's data.
Printer's IP Address: Enter the IP Address of the device;
SNMP Community: Enter the configured SNMP community (Default: PUBLIC).
Local Server: Enter the address of the local server.
NDD Print Host Address: Enter the address of the NDD Print Host;
NDD Print Releaser Address: Enter the address of the NDD Print Releaser;
After entering the addresses of the Local Server or External Server, click Test Connection to validate them.
Security and Communication: Configure the security data and communication method.
Communication Protocol: HTTP (Ports 56562 and 56563) or DCS (Port 5656);
Administration Password: Password to access this configuration menu.
It is recommended to change the default password (1111) of the administrative area.
Tab Control
Access control and Secure Release: Enable Secure Release and/or Copy Control.
Secure Release: Visualization and release of the documents retained in the NDD Print Releaser;
Copies quota: allows limiting access to the printer's copy functionality;
Tab Shortcuts
Click in the available shortcuts and select an application to be displayed in the solutions home menu. These shortcuts are already set with the applications that are commonly used (Quick Copy, Quick Scan, Quick Fax and Scan to me, if enabled), and can be changed as desired.
In some cases, the application must be installed (Ex: E-mail to me).
It is recommended to restart the device whenever the language is changed for any reason.
