Authentication

The available authentication methods are the ones displayed in the nddPrint Host, being:

  • User and Password: Enter your credentials, as registered in the Portal 360, and press LOGIN to start your session;

  • PIN: Enter the PIN code, also previously registered in the Portal 360. Press LOGIN after typing your PIN.

  • PIN and Secure PIN: In addition to typing the PIN, you're also required to enter a second security code, the Secure PIN;

  • External Device: Swipe your RFID card on the reading device (the card reader must be configured and connected in the printer's USB Port). The credentials will be validated by the system, and if it fails, watch for the message that will be displayed. Remembering that the user will not be able to access his documents if the reader is not connected;

  • External Device and Secure PIN: This authentication method asks you to swipe your proximity card, followed by entering your Secure PIN, before validating the information and releasing the panel.

Card Registration

Registration of new RFID cards can be performed in the devices using the access credentials to confirm the user's data. To do so, the access control must be configured (nddPrint Host) to allow both authentication via physical identifier and also their registration. Enable at least one of the other options (user and password and/or PIN Code), that will be used to identify the user during the registration.

To register a card, swipe it in the reader. You'll be informed that the card is not registered and guided to select another authentication method (user and password or PIN Code) . After validating the access data, swipe your card in the reader once more to confirm the registration.

ATTENTION

To logoff from the application, you can click on the corresponding physical button;

On 7x devices, this feature does not apply when in the printer's native functions (copy, scan, fax, etc).

IMPORTANT

If you're not using other purposes than Corporate, and the SMART option o the nddPrint Releaser is configured to access the Copier, the user will be able to access the copier feature straight from it's physical button, being that the authentication is transparent, that is, the user will not be required to open the nddPrint Client Ricoh.

For further information on how to configure the authentication methods, check the nddPrint Host User Manual.
