MFD Preconfiguration

Configuring the SP MODE

Before installing the embedded solution, some settings are required, being that on most of the MFP's the process will be the one described below:

CVM 7x Devices
  • Type the following sequence in the printer's panel: button “Clear modes”, followed by “1”, “0”, “7” and keep pressing “Clear/Stop” until it changes interface;

  • In this interface, access “System Sp”;

  • Following, access the option “SP-5XXX”;

  • Select “5113”, option “2” and then “Expansion Device 1”.

  • Restart the device.

  • After starting it again, press “User Tools/Counter” and access “System Settings>  “Administrator Tools>Enhanced Charge Unit Management”. In this interface, select the native options that you want to have it controlled by nddPrint.

    • Copier: “Full Color”, “Black & White”, “Single Color” and “Two-color”;

    • Printer: Do not mark any item from Printer;

    • Other Functions: “Document Server”, “Facsimile” e “Scanner”.

CVM 10x Devices
  • Before installing the Java Card, type the following sequence in the printer's panel: button “Reset”, followed by “1”, “0”, “7” and keep pressing “Clear” until it changes interface;

  • In this interface, access “System Sp”;

  • Following, access the option “SP-5XXX”;

  • Select “5113”, option “1” and then "0:None";

  • Select “5113”, option “2” and then “Expansion Device 1”.

  • Restart the device;

  • After starting it again, press “User Tools/Counter” and access “System Settings>  “Administrator Tools>Enhanced Charge Unit Management”. In this interface, select the native options that you want to have it controlled by nddPrint. Do not select nddPrint.

    • Copier;

    • Facsimile;

    • Scanner;

    • Document Server;

    • Browser.

CVM 11x Devices or higher
  • Before installing the Java Card, type the following sequence in the printer's panel: button “Reset", followed by “8”,“0”,“6”,"1","8","2" and keep pressing “C” until it changes interface;

  • In this interface, access “System Sp”;

  • Following, access the option “SP-5XXX”;

  • Select “5113”, option “1” and then "0:None";

  • Select “5113”, option “2” and then “Expansion Device 1”.

  • Restart the device;

  • After starting it again, press “User Tools/Counter” and access “System Settings>  “Administrator Tools>Enhanced Charge Unit Management”. In this interface, select the native options that you want to have it controlled by nddPrint. Do not select nddPrint.

    • Copier;

    • Facsimile;

    • Scanner;

    • Document Server;

    • Browser.

IMPORTANT

The steps to control the native features are not required when using only Collector. More information about internal configurations, please consult the service manual.
