Integration of Microsoft Entra ID domains
The integration of Microsoft Entra ID domains is managed directly by NDD Print Portal 360, while NDD Print Host only defines the type of authentication you want and displays the presence of the integrated domain on the ‘Domain Integration’ screen.
This solution offers enhanced security, as it uses federated authentication to prevent unauthorised access and protect corporate data. In addition, it increases productivity by reducing authentication problems and allowing users to focus on their core tasks.
Integration is quick and simplified, facilitating adoption by companies that already use Azure AD, without the need for complex configurations. Another benefit is unified authentication, allowing users to access both NDD Portal 360 and NDD Print Ricoh Client with the same credentials, eliminating multiple logins and making access more practical and fluid.
In summary, with regard to the NDD Print Host module, there are only two actions linked to integration with Microsoft Entra ID domains, which are the definition of an authentication type and the display of the Microsoft Entra ID domain previously registered in NDD Print Portal 360:
Definition of the authentication type: unlike integration with other types of domains, when integrating Microsoft Entra ID domains, we will only have the options that can be chosen on the “Access control” screen:
It will not be possible to configure authentication by user and password.
PIN, Secure PIN;
Physical identifier;
Domain display: You will be able to view the presence of an integrated Microsoft Entra ID domain on the “Domain Integration” screen.
