Add SNMP
To add a SNMP community > tab Printers > group Communication > action SNMP Connection > Add
Enter the data:
SNMP Entry name;
Response time (ms): Delimits the response time as a way to minimize the risk of losing counters and supplies readings, in the cases that the device takes too long to answer the request. This value can be set between 300ms and 10.000ms, being recommended the use of 3.000ms;
Number of retries: Configures the maximum number of times the system will try to communicate with the device if it fails to answer. This value can be set between 2 to 6 attempts, being recommended the use of 3 attempts;
Version 1/2:
Reading community;
Writing community.
Version 3:
User;
Context: Information provided by the device;
Authentication algorithm;
Password: of authentication;
Encryption;
Password: of encryption.
ATTENTION
SNMP V3 protocol demands more memory and process consumption due to its security standards and encryption, generating a greater response time from equipments that uses this protocol. Automatic search will use only the SNMP V1/2 entries.
