Configure authentication

The authentication is used in the devices to release the print jobs, these devices can be: Touches, mobile and Releaser WEB. This configuration allows to determinate which authentication type will be available for the users.

To configure an authentication type

1. tab Users

2. group Clients

3. action Set Authentication

4. tab General

Enter the necessary data:

Allow authentication by username and password

In this case, users registered in the domain or integrated systems will be able to log in;

• Use the system domain (nddPrint) for user authentication: When using the nddPrint domain in the domain integration, all registered users in this domain, located in the 360 Portal, can be used for authentication in the modules embedded.

• Default domain: It allows you to select which registered domain will be used as the default domain in the embedded authentications.

To use authentication by username and password, it will be necessary to have configured at least one domain to authentication in the option Integrated authentication.

Allow authentication by PIN

• Only PIN;

• Require PIN and Secure PIN: The PIN secure is an authentication method that aims to complement the security in the authentication, works as if the PIN is the user and Secure PIN is the password.

To use authentication by PIN, it is necessary to have the PIN codes assigned to the users in the Portal 360. The same works for the Secure PIN.

When enabled the option to authenticate by User and Password as well as by PIN Code, it is possible to choose which option will be displayed first for the user.

Allow authentication by physical identifier

The physical identifiers can be QR Code, bar code or proximity card readers that can be used with the NDD Print.

• Require only physical ID;

• Require physical identifier and Secure PIN;

• Allow user to register his physical identifier: Allows the users to register their own card, if they are not registered yet.

To use authentication by physical identifiers and/or Secure PIN it will be necessary to have the users registered and with identification codes associated to them, in the Portal 360.

The option that allows the user to register his physical identifier will only be available if the authentication by username and password or the authentication by PIN code is enabled.
