NDD Print Host Prerequisites

Hardware

It is important to note that: Both memory and process consumption may vary according to the number of printers being monitored and the print volume being generated. The network performance affects the resources consumption of the Host services. For environments monitored via SNMP V3, contact NDD to assess the necessary hardware requirements. We highly recommend the use of server processors, being that they have substantial differences when comparing to desktop processors. Therefore, the following examples used server processors, providing the performance needed in the described environments.

Hardware Examples

For environments where the Host monitors job accounting, supplies and events

In an environment with up to 50 printers:
Processor: Dual-Core 1.7GHz
Memory: 4GB RAM
Hard Disk Space: At least 10 GB

In an environment with up to 500 printers:
Processor: Dual-Core 2.0GHz
Memory: 4GB RAM
Hard Disk Space: At least 20 GB

In an environment with up to 1000 printers:
Processor: Dual-Core 2.40GHz
Memory: 8GB RAM

For environments where the Host monitors job accounting, supplies and events, along with quota, policies and authentication management

In an environment with up to 50 printers:

In an environment with up to 500 printers:
Processor: Quad-Core 2.4GHz
Memory: 8GB RAM

Microsoft .Net Framework 4.8.0 For Windows Server 2008 R2 is recommended to restart the system after installation.

Supported Databases and its prerequisites

Prerequisites
To create database: SA user with sysadmin rights After creating the database, a user with read and write permission can be used.
Both SQL and User languages must be set as English (Check the regional options, so you do not have problems with punctuation and decimal places)
