Accounting
The accounting of jobs in NDD Print 360 is performed through the agent modules that are responsible for monitoring and collecting information from print, copy, scan and fax jobs.
The agent modules are: NDD Print Agent, NDD Print MF, n-MF and NDD Print Collector.
In possession of the accounted data, it is possible to visualize, through reports, the expenses with the jobs, manage the settings, customize the costs based on the printing information (paper size, color, duplex…) and control users through hierarchical access permission profiles.
The modules responsible for accounting act in different ways, depending on the structure of the printing environment, and have the ability to:
Perform embedded physical accounting with the agent module installed on the equipment itself, monitoring and collecting information on the jobs performed;
Perform direct physical accounting through direct communication with the equipment;
Perform logical accounting by spool by capturing information from Windows spool files, or Linux CUPS.
Agent modules can be used in parallel, depending on the feature being used in the printing environment
Scenarios and modules involved
In the diagram below, it is possible to observe how each accounting agent module acts in the printing environment.
