Policies
With policies it is possible to configure and apply rules to control the print, copy, fax and scan jobs carried out in the organizational environment. When configuring the policies, the administrator can define which actions will be performed or suggested to users, whenever a document meets this rule.
Policies applied to printing
In this scenario, the behavior of the system with users will depend on the type of policy applied, which can be:
Restrictive Policy (Print Restriction): The users will be alerted and will be able to choose to print or cancel their document;
Conversion suggestion (Cost reduction): The users will be alerted and will be able to choose to convert their document to mono and/or duplex, thus reducing the cost of printing, or cancel;
Automatic Conversion (Converted Document): When configured, the users will be alerted that their document has been converted to mono and/or duplex, and will be able to choose to continue printing or cancel;
Block Policy (Print blocked): The users will be alerted that their print falls under a blocking policy and will not be able to print their document.
It allows administrators to view reports, as well as manage policies according to the most diverse filters, such as: title, application, total pages, duplex, color, paper size, quality, time, day of the week, size of the file or cost.
The drivers compatible with the policies are:
PCL5
PCL6
Post Script (PS)
XPS
Except for the manufacturer Epson, which is only compatible with:
PCL6
PCLXL

Policies applied to copying, scanning and faxing
In this scenario, the system's behavior towards users will be to allow, or not to allow, the use of copy, scan and fax resources.
For administrators, it allows the visualization of reports, as well as the management of policies according to the most diverse filters, such as: time, day of the week or color (applicable only for copy jobs).

Policies associated with secure release
In this scenario, users send the documents for printing, which are held until they are released through authentication in the release terminals (Releaser Web, 360 Android/iOS, Touch Terminal or Login to the equipment).
By logging into the release terminals, users will be able to view and release their print jobs, and the policies will be applied at that time. For copy, scan and fax jobs, if the user falls under a policy, the feature will be unavailable.
