Requirements for installing NDD Print Releaser

This module is installed as standard with the NDD Print Releaser.

Processor: x86 2.0GHz or higher

Memory and processing consumption may vary according to the print volume and database usage.

Rights and Permissions

Required settings

Permissions on the default file system for Windows NT (NTFS)

Disable user account control of the operating system (UAC)

System account with "Full Control" rights in the Inetpub directories and subdirectories (for use in some release agents)

Permissions in the Windows directory and subdirectories

Permission in the work folder “Program Files\Installation directory”

NDD Print Releaser can be installed in servers that hold any of the listed Operating Systems, Standard or higher:

  • Compatible with x86 and x64 platforms

  • Not compatible with Core, Storage and Web editions

For installations on Windows Server 2008 or higher, use only print driver V3.

Approved database and its prerequisites

Prerequisites

Create SA user with "sysadmin" rights - You can use a DB OWNER account after creating the database

Both SQL and User languages must be set as English (Check the regional options so you do not have problems with punctuation and decimal places)

The NDD Print Releaser version must be the same in all configured locations.

Know Incompatibilities

Retention in NDD Print Releaser Groups using Windows Store applications or UWP (Universal Windows Platform) applications, also known as Metro.
