Failed to start NDD Print Host Service Nancy

NDD Print Host Nancy service does not start.

Cause

Another application using ports 56562 and 56563, in this case Veritas NetBackup.

Solution

The program was closed and the NDD Print Host Nancy service was started, allocating the use of ports 56562 and 56563 in memory. The backup program was then started again, using other ports.

Change the backup program service with the Delayed Start option, so that the service starts earlier and the ports are allocated.

The application was identified using the netstat -a -b command

The event “Unable to bind to the underlying transport for [::]:56562. The IP Listen-Only list may contain a refence to an interface which may not exist on the machine. The data field contains the error number.” on Windows.
