Print group with HP Universal driver does not allow color printing

Fail

When you send the document for Retention in NDD Print Releaser, even if the document is in color, it is retained as black and white.

Cause

As of version 6 of HP's Universal driver, it communicates with the device in order to search for properties, if the device is capable of performing color or black and white jobs, for example, as the Print Group is a virtual queue, it is not possible to search for this type of property.

Solution

Configure the device type in the Print Group driver settings as follows:

1. Access the Print group queue

2. Right-click, printer properties

3. Device settings

4. Type of device

5. Change the value to Color
