Default installation
To install it, first check the necessary NDD Print Host Prerequisites.
Download the Installer
First, download the module from NDD Print Resources.
Run the Installer
Select the language > Click Next.
Choose the installation directory
Select the option Restore configuration backup from a file if you have generated a backup file.
Select the server to which NDD Print Host will send the information
NDD Print Local Server: Edition of the NDD Print Server installed on your local network.
Enter the server address and click Next.
NDD Print Cloud Server: Edition of the NDD Print Server for data storage in a Data Center via the internet.
Choose whether you already have the company key. If yes, on the next screen, you must fill in the company name and the key.
NDD Print Hybrid Server: Allows you to send accounting data to a local NDD Print Server and monitoring data to a cloud NDD Print Server.
Enter the server address.
Use Local NDD Print Server: In this case, the data will be sent to a server on the local network, and it’s also possible to configure a secure connection via HTTPS.
Enter the company name and key.
Information about the NDD Print Server
Use NDD Print Datacenter: In this case, the data will be sent directly to the NDD Print Datacenter at NDD.
Use a Service Provider Datacenter: This option should be enabled when the NDD Print Server is hosted by a service provider.
NDD Print Server Location
If you selected the option Use NDD Print Datacenter, you must specify which available Datacenter you wish to use, such as:
Global Datacenter (default): Datacenter serving all clients outside South and Central America.
Global Datacenter 2: Datacenter serving all clients outside South and Central America.
United States Datacenter: Datacenter serving clients located in North America.
Europe Datacenter: Datacenter serving clients located in Europe.
Asia Datacenter: Datacenter serving clients located in Asia.
If there is a connection test failure or if a proxy is required for internet communication, after the first unsuccessful connection attempt, an interface will be displayed to configure the proxy server.
NDD Print Host Administration Type
Use Local Administration: In this case, all printer settings are managed in the NDD Print Host’s local administration interface (conventional administration mode).
Use Cloud Administration: All printer settings are managed in the NDD Print Portal MPS. Please note that in these cases, settings cannot be made through the local NDD Print Host interface.
NDD Print Host cloud administration is only available in environments with NDD Print Portal MPS version 5.20 or higher.
Working Directory
Choose where the NDD Print Host will process your files.
Firewall
Select the option Add exception to Windows firewall for NDD Print so the NDD Print Host will automatically create rules for the listed ports.
Shortcuts
Choose the shortcuts.
Database Type
Use SQLite Database
Use SQL Server Database
Read the summary and click Install.
