NDD HP Printer Deploy

Overview of NDD HP Printer Deploy

Printer management in corporate environments is often a challenge, especially in large organisations where the number of devices can be significant. Manual configuration and management processes are not only time-consuming, but also prone to human error, directly impacting operational efficiency and productivity. To provide an overview of this new and disruptive solution developed for the NDD Print 360 suite, below are some important points to know before proceeding with the implementation of the solution

Objective

Facilitate the deployment of printers in the NDD Print 360 solution through an integrated and centralised configuration flow.

What are the benefits of using NDD HP Printer Deploy?

  • Operational Efficiency: Reduced time and effort to configure printers.

  • Error Minimisation: Optimisation of analyst work with fewer direct interaction steps.

  • Single Integrated Flow: Enables agile deployment integrated with the NDD Print 360 suite of solutions.

  • Security: Eliminates access to servers, restricting access exclusively to users who really need it.

Solution Proposal

By developing a centralised feature that simplifies printer registration in the NDD Print 360 solution, we have created two possibilities:

  1. NDD HP Printer Deploy on the Printer:

    • Application installed on the printer, allowing deployment from the HP equipment panel.

    • Ideal for scenarios where deployment must be done locally, increasing agility.

  2. NDD HP Printer Deploy via the Web Portal:

    • Deployment is performed remotely through a centralised portal.

    • Provides scalability and flexibility in environments with many devices, eliminating the need to move technical resources.

What actually happens when you use NDD HP Printer Deploy?

Using NDD HP Printer Deploy results in the following:

  • NDD Print Host: Printer registered in the module, enabling counter searches

  • NDD Print Releaser: Printer registered in the “printers” and “print groups” area (inbound print queue)

  • Print Server - Windows Server: Creation of a print queue (outbound print queue) on the server using the NDD Printer Releaser print group driver

  • NDD Print MF HP: Printer registered for authentication, accounting or secure release work functions, according to profiles previously configured, also in NDD Print MF HP.

Conclusion

NDD HP Printer Deploy offers an efficient and integrated solution for printer management on the NDD Print 360 platform, resulting in faster and less error-prone processes.
