Set rule to assign printer to group

User prerequisites:

Master Administrator Permission or

Administrator Permission

Process prerequisites:

None


To register a new rule > view Settings > menu Printers > locate Rules to automatically assign printers to groups > click on + Create rule

Enter the necessary data, considering:

Select the group: It lists the printer groups that are registered except the default group.

Model;

Assign this group to all existing printers that obey this rule and currently belong to: When enabled, this setting allows you to apply the rule to printers already registered. When disabled, only the new printers will be moved to the group, when they fall under the rule;

Only to the default group (Default): In this case, only the printers that belong to the default group will be submitted to the rule;

To any group: In this case, all printers, regardless of the group to which they belong, will be subject to the rule.

To delete a registered rule > view Settings > menu Printers > locate Rules to automatically assign printers to groups > identify the rule that will be deleted > Delete Confirm

To change the priority of a rule > view Settings > menu Printers > locate Rules to automatically assign printers to groups > click on Change priority > sort out the rules as you wish  > Save

NOTE

Priority is used when a printer fits into more than one rule. In these cases the printer will be assigned to the group indicated in the rule with higher priority.
