Set rule to disable printer

User prerequisites:

Master Administrator Permission or

Administrator Permission

Process prerequisites:

None


To create a rule to disable a printer > view Settings > menu Printers > locate Rules to automatically disable printers > click on + Create rule

Enter the necessary data, considering:

Rule: It allows you to include the driver name, port, printer manufacturer or model, to be used in the rule, see example below:

💡 EXAMPLE

Use * to indicate that there may be more than one character:

  • Between the beginning and the end of the expression:
    PRIN*02 is equivalent to PRINRH02... PRINCOM02... PRINBRANCH02

  • After the start of expression:
    PRIN* is equivalent to PRIN01... PRINCOLOR... IMPADM

Use ? to indicate that there may be only one character:

  • Between the beginning and the end of the expression:
    PR?1 is equivalent to PRP1... PR21... PRE1

  • After the start of expression:
    PRIN? is equivalent to PRIN0...PRIN1... PRIN2

Description;

Apply to:

Both: In this case the rule will be applied to the manufacturer and/or model and the driver/port;

Driver/Port: In this case the rule will be applied only to the driver/port entered in the "Rule";

Manufacturer and/or model: In this case the rule will apply only to the manufacturer / model informed in the field "Rule".

Apply rule:

As printers are processed: In this case the rule will apply as new printers are used;

In all existing printers: In this case the rule will apply to all printers;

To delete a rule configured to disable a printer > view Settings > menu Printers > locate Rules to automatically disable printers > identify the rule that will be deleted > Delete Confirm
