Password recovery shortcut in NDD Print Digital Shift HP
What is the objective? To facilitate password recovery by the user.
What has been done? Password recovery has been implemented directly through the NDD Print Digital Shift HP portal.
What will be affected? NDD Print Digital Shift HP module
What is the impact on the environment? To enable the feature, the software must be updated to version 5.4.0 or higher.
Correction
Inclusion of double quotes in module service paths
How did the problem happen? The absence of quotes in the NDD Print Digital Shift HP service paths allowed some antivirus programmes to interpret the processes as security vulnerabilities.
When did the problem ? When antivirus programmes scanned the NDD Print Digital Shift HP installation server.
During routine scans or real-time monitoring by antivirus programmes on the installation server.
Where did the problem happen? On the server where NDD Print Digital Shift HP is installed.
What was done to fix it? Double quotation marks were added to the service paths, making them absolute paths. This measure mitigates vulnerabilities and prevents attacks targeting the module service.
Treatment in resolving IP x Hostname of equipment
How did the problem happen? When attempting to register a piece of equipment, the system performed a query on the network that returned a different address (hostname) than the one the user had entered, causing a failure in the registration process.
When did the problem ? When registering a device in NDD Print Digital Shift HP.
Where did the problem happen? NDD Print Digital Shift HP module
What was done to fix it? Changed registration logic: now the system prioritises and respects the IP or hostname manually entered by the user during addition, instead of relying exclusively on automatic network name resolution.

Correction
Failure of the “Scan to Me” function via the digitiser (Manual)
How did the problem happen? When performing a manual scan using the scanner, two situations occurred that impacted the user:
The generated file was very large, which meant that the time taken to write to the shared folder was also long, causing a timeout while waiting for the file to finish.
Digital Shift attempted to move the file from the shared folder before it was completely available, generating an error that interrupted the correct scan flow, even if the file appeared in the folder shortly thereafter.
When did the problem ? When a manual scan was performed using the scanner.
Where did the problem happen? In Epson's Digital Shift.
What was done to fix it? The code was adjusted so that Digital Shift waits longer until the file is present in the shared folder.
Additional validations were also implemented to ensure that the file is moved only after writing is complete. This prevents attempts to manipulate incomplete files.

Synchronization failure when deleting domains with groups and users
How did the problem happen? When deleting a domain in the portal that contained groups with associated users, an error occurred during synchronization with NDD Print Host.
When did the problem? When NDD Print Host synchronized with the portal.
Where did the problem happen? In NDD Print Host.
What was done to fix it? The domain exclusion feature was adjusted to correctly consider users linked to groups. With this fix, synchronization between the portal and NDD Print Host now occurs without errors.
NDD Print Embedded Configuration Tool (ECT) 1.7.0

New functionality
Compatibility of Lexmark embedded devices with Embedded Configuration Tool (ECT) module
What is the objective? To ensure compatibility of the Embedded Configuration Tool (ECT) module for remote application of configurations in Lexmark embedded solutions, making the deployment process more agile and standardised.
What has been done? A service has been implemented to receive the configurations sent by ECT and apply these configurations to Lexmark embedded solutions in an automated manner.
What will be affected? Internal changes were made to the following modules:

What is the impact on the environment?
If the module is already installed, the ECT module must be uninstalled manually in order to install the latest version.

Improvement
Enhancement in printer registration and management in the database
What is the objective? To improve the management of printer registration in the database, ensuring the prevention of failures such as the disappearance of records, through the implementation of backup and automatic data insertion
What has been done?
A file called “SqlBackupPrinterManager.sql” was automatically created in the installation folder, which is updated whenever something is changed in the printer list. With the application's intelligence, it recognises when there is a sudden drop in printers in the database, where it uses this backup to prevent printers from disappearing, as if it were a PrinterManager FailOver
What will be affected?
At the user level, nothing, as the process of detecting, updating, and inserting the backup file is fully automated. The only place where it will be possible to see this process in action is in the application logs.
What is the impact on the environment? There is no impact. It is only necessary to update NDD Print MF HP to version 5.31.1 in order to apply the implemented improvement.
