Error to use local retention with Microsoft Edge and/or Microsoft Photos
Fail
When using the Local Hold feature, the document is not held for the correct user.
Cause
Non compatibility of the NDD Print Agent DLL injection process with the Microsoft Edge and Microsoft Photos applications.
Solution
Create the EnableNotificationMode key on the server and workstations with NDD Print Agent installed in full mode.
Another solution is to use NDD Print Agent in Full mode with notifications on the server and notification mode on the workstations. This way, you don't need to use the above key.
Observation
The switch can only be used if the environment has a Bi-Directional NAT or two-way NAT network.
