Import printers into NDD Print MF Epson

In this article, you'll learn how to perform a mass import of printers using a CSV file.

Before you start

Step 1: Preparing the CSV file

Only administrators can save the CSV file.

  1. Access the MassivePrinterImport folder in the NDD Print MF Epson installation folder

  2. Open the CSV file PrintersToImport with Excel, Notepad or other compatible software

  3. Fill in the printer information

When you save the file, NDD Print MF EPSON will start the import process, so make sure that all the information is completed and correct.

  1. Save and close the file

The import is finished when the file PrintersToImport is completely empty.

Step 2: Checking for errors

Errors may occur when finalizing the import. To check for these errors:

  1. Access the MassivePrinterImport folder in the NDD Print MF Epson installation folder

  2. Open the PrintersToImport_Error file with Excel, Notepad or other compatible software

  3. In the Error column, check the reason for the import failure

The data file for importing printers must be in CSV format

The file has been altered and left in a different format than expected. Delete the file to generate a new one, or save it again in CSV format.

Failed to open printer import file

File is being used by another process

The printers listed below may be duplicates of the previously selected printer

Has more than one line in the CSV file with the same IP address/Hostname

Failed to open communication channel with entered device

Check printer connection and NDD Print Host with server

This printer is already registered

The printer is already registered in the system. If you want to register it again, you must remove it via the NDD Print MF Epson Admin interface.

Failed to set up network accounting

Verify printer is with network connection and with EOP settings made
